Alexander Strelkov presents at the Aspen Institute conference in Berlin
Dr. Alexander Strelkov has been invited by the Aspen Insitute as a guest speaker for an event (8-10 May 2019) focusing on parliamentary institutions in the Balkan region. The Aspen Institute is one of the key policy arenas to discuss and debate Balkan politics and EU involvement in the region. Dr. Strelkov is lecturer at Leiden University College The Hague.
Balkan Enlargement
Dr. Strelkov presented practical policy solution on enhancing parliamentary capacity in the region to an audience comprising representatives of think tanks, civil society, MEPs from various countries of the region as well as staff of the German Foreign Office and EU institutions. The event also addressed the wider context of the Balkan enlargement, highlighting contradictions of EU foreign policy in the region and stressing the need for greater internal party democracy and transparent party funding in the Balkans.
