Lucia Bossoni in Newsweek
Newsweek has published a story on Leiden Alzheimer research led by physicist Lucia Bossoni.
There have been indications for decades that there is a link between increased iron levels in the brain and Alzheimer’s disease. Bossoni and her colleagues have found this connection as well, and this time also make a distinction between different forms of iron. They have identified specific iron forms that increase in Alzheimer’s patients and published their results in Scientific Reports.
