Scott Waitukaitus wins FYSICA Young Speakers Contest
At the annual conference FYSICA of the Netherlands’ Physical Society (NNV), Leiden postdoc Scott Waitukaitis has won the Young Speakers Contest.
In the final round, three young presenters were challenged to give a twelve minute talk on their research for a general audience. Waitukaitis showcased his research on the elastic Leidenfrost effect in his presentation ‘Coupling the Leidenfrost effect to elastic deformations to power sustained bouncing’ and took home the first prize.
