Company visit Cosine
On the 10th of October, several students from SBB went to visit cosine measurement systems in Warmond for a presentation, tour and case afternoon.
After an enthousiastic welcome by Gijs Hijmans (Business Developer) we were given a quick introduction to the company and the various projects they are working on. However, we were soon able to see these projects in more detail during the lab tour. Showing us all the applications using optical measurement techniques including space projects for ESA, Gijs convinced us of the wide applicability and relevance of these systems. To bring this knowledge into practise, the lab tour was followed by a case study, where we could come up with ideas to use cosine technology for new purposes. Given the chance to pitch these ideas over drinks we were not only given the chance to talk to other people from cosine, but also to get feedback on our ideas.
On behalf of SBB and all the attendees, we want to thank Cosine and Gijs for welcoming us and organizing an amazing afternoon. The case and drinks gave this company visit a very interactive character and showed us the unlimited range of opportunities for cosine technology.
