Company Visit Ocello
On the 21st of September, seven students of SBB visited OcellO at the Biopartner 2.
After a quick introduction, Lidia Daszkiewicz (head of Immuno-Oncology) presented to us the background and current developments of OcellO. Especially the latest developments, using OcellO's characteristic 3D tissues and high-end imaging techniques for treatment of cancer by immunotherapy were regarded with much interest. It is also this combination of succesful growth of 3D tissues and high-content analysis that makes OcellO stand out from its competitors. After the presentation, the students received a tour through the laboratories, mainly focussing on the storage of the cells and the growth and analysis of the tissues. Moreover, the tour provided the opportunitiy to ask any question about OcellO.
On behalf of all the attendees, we want to thank Lidia and OcellO for welcoming us and introducing us to the company with much enthousiasm. The company visit gave us a good view on the innovative work that OcellO does and the opportunities it might provide us in the future.
