Farmers in Huai River Valley
LI Weiya from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei City, has been awarded a general scholarship by the CSC (China Scholarship Council) to carry out his PhD research at the Laboratory for Material Culture Studies.
His research project is entitled: Decoding the Lives of the Earliest Farmers in Huai River Valley, 9000–7000 BP. He will be doing a use wear and residue study of grinding tools from early agricultural sites in the Huai River area. His promotor will be prof. Annelou van Gijn.
