Events, Workshops and Newsletter
Once a month, LUCDH presents a lunchtime talk - see the 'Upcoming events' block (right) for links to further information on our currently planned talks. Invited speakers have covered topics on mapping historical Leiden, modeling from qualitative and quantitative data, the place of data science in art history, linguistics research, and visualization and digital storytelling amongst other topics. Leiden University staff and students are welcome to attend. (NB An e-mail to email@example.com let's us know you would like to attend so we are sure to have sufficient chairs.)
LUCDH facilitates workshops once every two months. These promote the acquisition of skills and knowledge in employing digital tools. Workshops in Python and QGIS have proved highly popular. It's therefore advisable to register quickly once you see notification of a workshop on our website or in our newsletter!
The newsletter gathers information on lectures, workshops, call for papers, conferences, symposiums, etc., relevant to research in digital humanities across Leiden University, and similar events happening in the wider digital community. If you wish to be placed on the mailing list for our newsletter (or wish to be removed from the mailing list) or you have an event on an aspect of digital humanities that you would like shared with a wider audience, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org with your request and subject line 'newsletter'.
We look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon!
