Centre for Modern Urban Studies

The Centre for Modern Urban Studies (MUS) is a multidisciplinary research institute that looks at historic and current changes in large urban developments, located in The Hague. Our research is focussed on socio-cultural, economical, legal or technological change and the ways all these elements interact.

The Centre for Modern Urban Studies aims to develop into a research and knowledge institute that collaborates with various academic partners to analyse urban developments and to disseminate this knowledge by academic and non-specialist lectures and publications. Special attention is given to the provision of practical knowledge to local organisations such as city councils, social housing corporations, museums and archives.
