On September 18, as part of the Days of Art & Science in Leiden, we invite you to a new meeting of Leidse Bespiegelingen / Leiden Reflections. This philosophical event will explore the theme: Art, Creativity and AI. How does artificial intelligence transform our understanding of artistic creation and human imagination? What new questions arise at the intersection of technology, aesthetics, and ethics? 
The Leiden Reflections combine intellectual depth with accessibility, making them an open invitation for everyone to think along about life’s most profound questions.

Prof.dr. Susanna Lindberg

Philosopher Prof. Susanna Lindberg (Leiden University), specializes in continental thought and made a number of separate studies in the field of philosophy of literature, music and image. She will reflect on the nature of creativity in an age of algorithmic production.

Dr. Nolen Gertz (University of Twente), expert in the philosophy of technology and existentialism, will focus in particular on film, exploring how AI is entering the cinematic realm and what new dilemmas this creates.

Together, they will offer a rich dialogue on the promises and challenges of integrating AI into artistic and creative practices. Join us for an evening of critical reflection and inspiring conversation in the heart of Leiden.
