Sarwesh Ishwardat (UU) will present his research on compliance in the financial sector, investigated in collaboration with the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).
During his presentation, Sarwesh will reflect on different communications styles that can be used to stimulate compliance more (and less) effectively. This was tested with a field experiment, in which different letters were sent to more than 2800 Dutch financial organizations. Results show that writing a letter in a certain way is very influential on the compliance behavior of these financial organizations!
