LWSK

The Leidse Weer en Sterrenkunde Kring (LWSK) is a society of amateurs interested in astronomy, space travel and meteorology. The association organises a monthly lecture on a fascinating subject, given by an expert in the field.

The LWSK organises lectures and courses for its members. The LWSK also offers opportunities to be actively involved in exploring topics that you find interesting by dividing the members in research groups. Furthermore, members also help each other in dealing with their own telescope and making observations.

The LWSK has many enthusiastic members who are actively involved in organising an evening or an open day, presenting short presentations about their own astronomical field of interest, providing support in maintaining and developing their own observation equipment, but also for keeping track of our social media and much more.

The LWSK is an association in which a lot is offered but the members also participate themselves. New members are therefore also asked whether they are willing to participate in one or more support teams.

The contribution amounts to €12.50 per calendar year. In case of registration after 1 September, the fee is €7.50 until the end of the current year.

Are you not a member yet, but would you like to get acquainted and follow a lecture? You are most welcome. Sign up your arrival in advance by email.
