Introduction Week 2021
We are very excited to welcome you to LUC The Hague! We are busy planning a full programme for your first week here. The Introduction Week will take place in August 2021. Please make sure to fill out the Incoming Student Survey!
As some of you may have to quarantine during Intro Week depending on your country of origin and arrival time, Intro Week will offer both online and offline components.
For this reason, we are also introducing this year - Welcome Back Month! A whole month of activities during September where you will also be able to connect, learn, enjoy and be more involved in the LUC community - in person.

Monday August 23
11:00 - 12:00 - Intro Week Kick-Off (Online)
Get ready to start off Intro Week. This session will introduce you to all the important LUC bodies, councils and groups, a welcome from the Dean and your Intro Week Team!
12:00 - 13:00 - Lunch Time (On Your Own)
13:00 - 14:30 - Meet your Mentors (Hybrid)
Get ready to meet your Intro Week Group and your mentors! Be prepared for some fun and games and getting to know each other
15:30 - 17:00 - Getting Started Workshop (Hybrid)
The most important and practical information you will need to get started - from how to get a doctor, to what are the best cafes, to what are the best spots around the city. Get all the details...
19:00 - 21:00 Online Hangout - Movie Night (Hybrid)
Netflix Party! Get ready for a night of films, popcorn and hanging out. More info here!
Tuesday August 24

11:00 - 12:00 Meet the SLO and RA's (Online)

Get ready to unravel all the LUC in's and out's. What is a major? How does a minor work? What are the global challenges exactly? How does it all work?
14:00 - 16:00 Well Being & You 3&4 (Online)

17:00 - 18:00 Getting Dutch @LUC (Online)
Hagelsag? Bitterballen? Dankjewel? What do you really need to know about being Dutch, about the language, and Dutch culture. Get ready to test your Dutch skills, learn a few new ones, and have some good ol' Dutch fun!

10:45 - 14:00 Get your Stuff Excursions (In-Person)
Need a new pan? What about nice bed-sheets? Or that lamp that will make your room look perfect! Join the excursions to different shops across the city to get all the stuff you need!
There are 2 types of excursions: Second hand stores or smaller stores in the city (Action, Hema, Blokker, Xenos)

What is really Liberal Arts and Sciences? Is it a methodology? A way of thinking? A way of life? Join Dr. Brandon Zicha in a very interesting lecture around this, followed by a good debate!

Friday August 27

11:00 - 14:00 The Hague Challenge (In-person)
Finally time to see The Hague - your new home. But not without a challenge first. Be ready to see the city, be silly, get crazy and enjoy the last day of Intro Week

Time to wrap up the week, share some information, find out more about Welcome Back month and the fun ahead!
19:00 - 21:00 Pub Quiz (Online)
