Keynote

The ISGA Conference Committee is pleased to announce that Senior Political Scientists David A. Baldwin from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University will be giving the keynote lecture at the ISGA Conference.

David A. Baldwin is Senior Political Scientist in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and Wallach Professor of Political Science Emeritus at Columbia University. He held appointments at Dartmouth College (1965-85) and at Columbia University (1985-2005) before returning to Princeton in 2005. His research interests include international political economy, international relations theory, American foreign policy, and power analysis.

He is the author or editor of 14 books and has contributed articles to the American Political Science Review, Journal of Politics, World Politics, International Organization, Journal of Conflict Resolution, International Security, Review of International Studies, and International Studies Quarterly. His book Economic Statecraft (Princeton University Press, 1985) received the Gladys M. Kammerer Award for best political science publication in 1985 on U.S. national policy from the American Political Science Association. He was the founder and first chair of the Research Committee on Political Power of the International Political Science Association. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and an Affiliate of the Arnold A. Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies at Columbia University. He recently completed a study of the concept of power in international relations theory entitled Power and International Relations (Princeton University Press, 2016).
