Interested in participating in one of our courses? Here's a step-by-step guide to the registration process.

Course registration

You can register for a course through SURFconext.

Are you a student or employee at an educational institution? Simply register with your SURFconext account.
Are you an external participant? First, create a SURFconext account via eduID.nl. You can find instructions under "I don't have a SURFconext account yet."

After registering, you'll have immediate access to your Course Portal, where you can easily manage your course(s).

How to Register with a SURFconext account

Before registering, please read the terms and conditions at the bottom of this page. You can register in the following ways:

I have a SURFconext account
(students/staff from an educational institution)

Registering for a creative course (SURFconext users)
Do you have an account from an educational institution that uses SURFconext? For example: Leiden University, LUMC, or another university or university of applied sciences?

Follow these steps:

1. Choose your course

Go to the course you would like to take.
At the bottom of the page, click Register online.
Under Available dates, select your preferred course date.

2. Log in via SURFconext

Select your educational institution from the list.
Log in using your usual institutional login details.

I don't have a SURFconext-account yet

Before registering, please read the terms and conditions at the bottom of this page. You can register in the following ways:

I do not have a SURFconext account (eduID)
(external participants)

Registering for a creative course (external users)
Are you not a student or staff member of an educational institution that uses SURFconext?

Then you will need an eduID to log in. This is free and easy to set up.

1. Create an eduID first

Go to eduid.nl and create a free eduID.
Use an email address you can easily access.

2. Choose your course and start your registration

Return to the LAK website.
Select your course and click Register online at the bottom of the page.
Check if there are still places available and click on the course.

3. Log in via SURFconext using your eduID

In the SURFconext login screen, select eduID.
Log in using the email address you used to create your eduID.

Payment

The payment method depends on who is paying the fees:

Are you paying yourself? Then you can pay directly via iDEAL or credit card during the registration process.
Is your employer paying? Then they will receive an invoice at the billing address provided by your organization.

Your registration is only final after payment has been received.

Registration Confirmation
Once your registration and payment are complete, you will receive an email confirmation. This confirmation contains all the practical information about the course and the further schedule.

Course Start
One week before the course starts, you will receive a reminder with additional information, such as the instructor, classroom, or access to the online learning environment.

Registration Terms

If a course has reached its maximum number of participants, no further registrations can be accepted. It is possible to join the waiting list for that course.

A reduced fee applies to students. To qualify, LAK Creative Courses may request proof of student status (student card) at the time of registration.

With prior agreement from LAK Creative Courses, late registration after the stated start date may be permitted. Please note that the full course fee applies even if joining later.
