Law

We are very happy to welcome you to Leiden Law School to spend a semester or year studying with us. Here you can find information on course registration, schedules and more.

Leiden Law School offers an extensive range of English-taught law courses at undergraduate level.

Specially adapted law courses

Many courses have a specially adapted timetable with early exams and minimal course overlap, making them ideal for exchange and study-abroad students. In the online prospectus these have a catalogue number starting with 22989.

Other Law courses

You may also follow law courses with a different catalogue number, i.e. not starting with 22989, as long as these are open to exchange students in the prospectus. But be aware that they may have overlapping classes or later exams.

The courses take place at different locations:

Please find below the schedule for our first and second semester.

Changes can occur, so always check the latest schedules in uSis, via the links above, or on the screens in faculty buildings.

Personal schedule in uSis

Soon before the start of the semester, we will register you on all your courses (also see below). Once we have done so, you will also be able to view your personal course schedule in uSis.

Interpreting your uSis schedule

In uSis, workgroups (seminars) are indicated with a W or WGR, lectures are indicated with LEC and exams are marked with TEN.

Soon before the start of the semster, the Office for International Education at Leiden Law School will register you on all the courses you have been admitted to. There is no need to register for courses yourself.

You will receive an automated email in your uMail account once you are registered on a course.

Check you course registrations

Two weeks before the start of the semester, log into uSis and make sure you are definitely registered on all your courses. If this is not the case, please contact Leiden Law School's incoming exchange coordinator.

In order to be able to process your exam results and issue a transcript of grades, you need to be registered in advance for all exams and retakes.

Exam registration
