Dutch Language Courses
The Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo offers Dutch language courses for Egyptian adults on a regular basis. These courses aim to provide students with language skills in Dutch, which they can use in everyday life. Therefore you will spend most of your time practicing the language in order to communicate with Dutch language speakers.

The NVIC aims to offer three rounds of courses per year: September-December, January-March and April - June.

Term dates and Schedule
The courses total 20 lessons, each lesson is 2 hours (40 hours), spread over 10 weeks.
Beginners (Level 1), Level 2, 3 and 4:
Classes are on Mondays & Wednesdays from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. or 6 - 8 p.m. The exact time of your level will be determined and shared after registration.
First lesson: Monday, 20 April 2026
Written Exam: Monday, 29 June 2026
Oral Exam: Wednesday, 1 July 2026
Language of instruction
The lessons are taught in English, NOT Arabic. A good command of spoken and written English is therefore required. The Institute may refuse enrolment to a student with insufficient command of English.
Assessment, testing and certification
Classwork and homework will be marked and evaluated throughout the course and a test will be held at the end of the course. Your marks and your test results will help the teacher decide whether you should go to the next level or whether you need further practice at your present level. End of course certificates will be given to all students. These do NOT have, however, any official value in the Netherlands.
Fees
The fees for this course: EGP 4.125.- (includes all required materials).
Payment in full is required at the time of registration. Contestants for level 2, 3 and 4 who have completed previous level at the institute, less than a year ago, can pay fees through bank transfer. (details of bank account can be acquired through email after registration day)
The minimum number of students for each course is 8, maximum number 12.
If the minimum number of 8 students has not been reached, fees will be refunded to the students.

Monday, 16 March 2026, from 9 a.m. - 12 noon only.

Please bring the course fees in cash on the day of registration.
An interview to assess your level of English is part of the registration process for the beginners’ course.
