What's Next? Making and preserving the digital world

Curious about the career paths of Creative Intelligence & Technology MSc alumni? This December session of “What’s Next?” will feature two alumni of the Media Technology / Creative Intelligence & Technology program, Winke Wiegersma and Arnaud Loonstra, whose work is related to sustainability and preservation of digital spaces. They will share their experiences after completing their studies and share how they have built their practices.

With the What's Next? series we hope to inspire current Creative Intelligence & Technology students, show the variety of paths taken after the studies, and bring together alumni and students. Editions of the series are generally organized around a particular theme. This edition is about alumni who work on sustainability and preservation of digital spaces.

These talks are organised by Creative Intelligence & Technology students themselves, and followed by social drinks.

Winke Wiegersma is a digital culture product manager within the research and heritage team at the institute for Sound & Vision ("Beeld en Geluid)" in Hilversum. She works on a variety of research and innovation projects in the fields of born-digital heritage, immersive experiences, AI, and games.

Arnaud Loonstra is an experimental technologist working with live systems, new media art, creative coding, permacomputing and sustainable digital practices. He has been involved in various roles, from researcher to developer and lecturer.

No registration required, free of costs, open to all!

Friday December 12 2025, 16:00 - 17:00h
