A temporary position of Senior Researcher in Medieval Studies is available at the Department of Conservation, Archaeology, and History, University of Oslo. The successful candidate will become a member of the project team and will be linked to MINiTEXTS’ Sub-project 3 (The Christian Norm & Liturgical Practices) dedicated to early medieval liturgical textual additions and pen trials in non-liturgical manuscripts. The concepts of good and evil are expressed, from a lexical point of view, in different ways in different Germanic languages and at the same time they are declined in different forms depending on linguistic and literary traditions. Moving from theoretical backgrounds, we encourage prospective participants to submit proposals which deal with the theme from a literary, philological, linguistic and/or historical perspective. Op 22 februari leidt Karst Schuil (Wenen) het derde seminar (online) van de seminarreeks van de Onderzoekschool Mediëvistiek: Emotionality and Late Medieval Self-Transformative Processes.
