On the 21st and 22nd of June, the students of the Research Master Classical, Medieval and Early Modern Studies at the University of Groningen organise an online conference on the topic of otherness.

The School of Celtic Studies (DIAS) is organizing a conference on medieval multilingual manuscripts. The aim of this conference is to bring together scholars working on medieval bilingual or multilingual sources from a variety of linguistic backgrounds, geographical areas, and literary genres. It will provide a platform which will further discussion on historical code-switching and multilingual communities.

ReMA and PhD students attached to the Research School for Medieval Studies can obtain 1 ECTS by actively attending the international conference "City, Citizen & Citizenship. New Perspectives on the Middle Ages, AD 400-1600" (16-18 June 2021). To this end, they will have to submit a written reflection on the questions and methods discussed during the conference. The "Cognitive Turn" and the Middle Ages - There is an increasing interest in the cognitive sciences and how knowledge from this area influences literary studies, history, art history, and studies in material culture. This meeting seeks to discuss the possibilities, but also the limitations of incorporating knowledge systems from different academic fields.

On 6 and 7 May 2021, KBR, in partnership with the Campus Condorcet of Paris, the National Library of Luxembourg, the KB national library of the Netherlands, the universities of Ghent, Leuven, Liège, Mons and Namur, and the Vlaamse Erfgoedbibliotheken, will be holding an international conference on medieval books and the digital humanities in the Low Countries.

A series of sessions on the literary heritage of Anglo-Dutch relations (c. 1050-c. 1600) will be held at the Society for Renaissance Studies (29 June - 1 July 2021).
