What's Next? Alumni Talks on Life after Media Technology

Curious about the career paths of Media Technology MSc alumni? This February session of “What’s Next?” will feature two students who studied in the Media Technology program, Patrick Heneise and Andrei Nesterov, who will speak about their careers after Media Technology and how that relates to our program.

With the What's Next? series we hope to inspire current Media Technology students, show the variety of paths taken after the studies, and bring together alumni and students. Editions of the series are generally organized around a particular theme.

These talks are organised by Media Technology students themselves, and followed by social drinks.

Patrick Heneise received his Media Technology MSc degree in 2011 and is currently CEO of Zentered, a software engineering company. He is a digital nomad and actively fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing in tech communities around the world, having co-founded several initiatives such as the Cyprus Developer Community and BarcelonaJS.

Andrei Nesterov attended Media Technology courses as an international exchange student, in 2019, and is currently pursuing a PhD in the Human-Centered Data Analytics group of CWI. This research group focuses on human-centered, responsible AI in culture and media to ensure inclusive digital systems that promote diversity and combat misinformation. In addition to conducting research in the traditional sense, Andrei is a freelance data journalist, working on projects for NGOs.

No registration required, free of costs, open to all!
