Op 2 juni verscheen ter gelegenheid van ‘900 jaar Utrechtse stadsrechten’ een stripboek van het Utrechtse stripcollectief "De Inktpot" over een paar eeuwen middeleeuwse Utrechtse (familie)geschiedenis. Als inhoudelijke adviseurs waren daarbij de mediëvisten Kaj van Vliet en Martine Meuwese betrokken.

The universities of Granada and Genova are organizing an international congress on 29-30 September 2022. The purpose is to think about the saliency of place-based forms of identity in the centuries that followed the fall of the Roman Empire, and to build new theoretical and methodological frameworks that allow us to tackle the complex nature of place-based identities from historical and archaeological perspectives. To mark the 900th anniversary of the city of Utrecht, the summer feast of city patron Saint Martin of Tours will be celebrated on 3 and 4 July 2022. The festival is a birthday gift from Utrecht University to the city, initiated by Saint Martin expert Els Rose.
