Leiden University seeks to bring knowledge, academic top talents, and resources from Leiden and Latin America and the Caribbean together in mutually beneficial joint research projects, with a focus on the following five areas:
• Health, Preventive Medicine, Ageing and Biosciences, by the Faculties Medicine/Leiden University Medical Center and Science
• Fundamentals in Science, Astronomy and Data Science, by the Faculty of Science
• Public Policies, Governance and International Relations, by the Faculties of Humanities, Law and Governance and Global Affairs
• Sustainability, Civil Society and Social Justice, by the Faculties of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Humanities and Governance and Global Affairs
