How does it work?

Would you like to know how to log in, enrol, or cancel an enrolment? Read here, step by step, how to do this.

Enrolment
  1. Pick a course
    Browse the overview of our course offerings and select the course that matches your interests or learning goals.
     
  2. Log in
    To access our courses, you can log in in several ways:

    Staff and students of Leiden University and LUMC
    Log in via SURFconext using your ULCN account. Select your institution from the list and use your familiar login details.

    Other users
    Are you not a member of staff or a student of Leiden University or LUMC? You can log in through SURFconext using an eduID (which you can create at eduid.nl), or select “Other login”. Don’t have an account yet? You can quickly create one using the panel on the right.

    After logging in, you will immediately gain access to your personal learning environment.
     

  3. Payment
    The payment method depends on who is covering the costs:
     

    Are you paying yourself?
    You can pay directly via iDEAL or credit card during the enrolment process.
     

    Is your employer paying?
    Your employer will receive an invoice at the billing address provided for your organisation.

    Your enrolment is only final once payment has been received.
     

  4. Enrolment confirmation
    As soon as your enrolment and payment have been completed, you will receive a confirmation email. This email contains all practical information about the course and the further schedule.
     

  5. Start of the course
    One week before the course begins, you will receive a reminder with additional information, such as details about the lecturer, classroom, or access to the online learning environment.

Cancellation

Can’t attend a course after all? You can withdraw through the Course Portal by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the Course Portal.
     

  2. Select the course you wish to withdraw from.
     

  3. Click on ‘Manage Course’.
     

  4. The course page will open. Click ‘Withdraw’ in the top right corner.
     

  5. Enter the reason for your withdrawal.
     

  6. Click ‘Complete’.

Once you’ve finished, you’ll receive a confirmation of your withdrawal. Your request will be sent to the administration for review. Please check the cancellation policy to see which conditions apply to you.

Certificates or proof of attendance

When you successfully complete a course, you will receive a certificate. For some courses, you will receive a proof of attendance instead.

You can find these documents in the Course Portal.

Step 3: Download your certificate or proof of attendance

Evaluation

The evaluation will be available from the last day of the course. You can complete it through the Course Portal.

Step 1: Log in to the Course Portal

Step 2: Scroll down to ‘Evaluation

Step 3: Open the evaluation form

Step 4: Complete the evaluation

Step 5: Submit the evaluation
