On 19 May 2022, Jan Aart Scholte gave a keynote lecture on ‘Legitimacy in Internet Governance’ for a workshop at the European University Institute, Florence, Italy.
On Monday 9 May 2022, GTGC Visiting Researcher Derin Atiskan presented her work to the GTGC Global Justice and Human Rights and the GTGC Identity and Inequalities groups. The presentation was titled: "The Puzzle of International Norm Transfer: Exploration of Women’s Rights Recommendations Made through the United Nations Human Rights Mechanisms”.

On 22 April 2022, Jan Aart Scholte presented his research to the Leiden Political Economy Group (L-PEG) and to GTGC's thematic area on Economy during a research seminar. The title of the presentation was 'Inequality and Legitimacy in Global Governance'.
On 21 April 2022, the Democracy and Citizenship thematic stream organized a seminar which focused on the question of citizenship under conditions of global crises. Three researchers presented their work during this seminar: Marion Collewet “Participatory Value Evaluation of policy options for the energy transition – an application to the residential heat transition in Amsterdam.” ; Lydie Cabane “Un-solvable crises? Implementation and differentiation in multilevel crisis governance in the EU.” ; Matthew Longo “Borders after Covid: Defining the scope of concern.”
On 14 April 2022, the GTGC and LUCIR co-organised/sponsored an event about Preventing Future Ukraines at Wijnhaven building. The event was organized by Arlinda Rrustemi and it was attended by several speakers.
