On the 10th of February, within the frame of the Well-being Weeks, speaker Maja Finkenstaedt (activist at Health for Future and medical student from UKE Hamburg) will give a presentation about the impacts climate change has on our health. The types of health complaints will change due to climate change and the medical field has to prepare future health staff accordingly. That is why, together with engaged staff members, Maja is engaged in the integration of climate change into the medical curriculum.

Professort Dr. Birgit-Christiane Zyriax (teaching at UKE) is one of the people involved with this adaptation of the curriculum. She will provide the perspective and role of staff members in this process, sharing insights and tips. Finally, the head of the sustainability department UKE, Frank Dzukowski, will give an overview about projects at the university medical centre regarding sustainability. After the presentations, a Q&A will provide opportunity for exchange and discussion with the audience. The talk will be held online (platform still to be announced) at 19:30.
