In 2016 the 1st part of the new building of the Faculty of Science has been taken into use.

Approach

The institute manager will be coordinating the relocation by group, who will be supported by a group relocation coordinator. The relocation coordinator is involved in the preparations, and is the contact person for the group, available on a daily basis.

Relocation procedure

Relocation will be done by group. Very large groups or groups with many special items (NMR or FMD) will sometimes take weeks to relocate.

Relocation will take place according to the Institute Manager’s instructions. In most cases, you will be expected to take care of packing and unpacking yourselves. The mover will supply the required packaging materials a few days in advance. Very large, breakable objects require special treatment. Ask your relocation coordinator for details.

Furniture

LIC, ELD, and FMD will organise their own office furniture. LACDR, IBL, LION, NeCEN, Support Services will find a standard package of new furniture in their new rooms.

Smaller rooms

Your new rooms have standard measurements. In many cases, this means that you will have less space. Therefore, you will likely not be able to move all your belongings. Please take this into account before packing.
