FAQ

Please find below the most frequently asked questions about the relocation to Wijnhaven and Schouwburgstraat, Project 2511. This item will be frequently updated.

  1. What will be my workplace as a staff member?
    The official moving plan was published in September of 2016. 
     
  2. When will I be moving?
    In the week 48 (28-11 t/m 2-12), the location Schouwburgstraat and Stichthage will move to location Wijnhaven.
    In week 49 (5-12 t/m 9-12), location Stichthage will move to location Schouwburgstraat.
    In week 50 (15-12 en 16-12), location Lange Voorhout will move to Wijnhaven.
     
  3. Who can I talk to when I have questions about moving?
    For all your questions you can contact your personal moving coordinator. If together you cannot come to a solution together, you can also send an email to verhuizing@fgga.leidenuniv.nl.
     
  4. I will not be present for the entire month of December. Who will pack and unpack my stuff?
    Please inform the Secretariat or your moving coordinator as soon as possible. He or she may be able to pack and unpack for you, or find another solution with you.
     
  5. Will I be receiving an extra notice about what the exact date of the move will be?
    Yes, you will be notified closer to the date.
     
  6. How long can't I use my working space?
    Probably two working days.
     
  7. What will my room look like?
    Each staff member with an appointment of 0,6 FTE or more will get about 9 square meters with desk, chair, computer, drawer unit, cabinet and waste bin. In some cases also a meeting table with four chairs. Part of the furniture will be new, the rest will be re-used.
     
  8. I have a custom chair. Will this chair come to my new workplace?
    Please inform the secretariat or your moving coordinator as soon as possible. He or she will make sure your chair will be moved to the new location.
     
  9. What will happen to the items that are left behind?
    As much of these items as possible will be re-used within Leiden University, offered to a seller or given to the ‘Green Office’. Everything that’s left after this will be thrown away.
     
  10. Where will the study associations be?
    The study associations B.I.L., Basis and the newly foundeded association of ISGA will be in a separate pavilion on the ground floor, each with their own reception room and two work places.  There will be a terrace in front of the pavilion, serving as a meeting point for students.
     
  11. What will happen with waste materials?
    The UFB is putting out a tender for waste processing. In the Wijnhaven complex, there will probably be separate waste collection.
     
  12. Where and how do my guests enter?
    Just like in the Schouwburgstraat now. Through the revolving doors, and then they can report to the reception. The reception will contact you and you can pick up your guest.
     
  13. What will be the catering facilities at the Schouwburgstraat?
    The catering will stay the same as it is now, but perhaps with somewhat different opening hours.
