About

Leiden University has a new location in the city center of The Hague. The development of Wijnhaven is progressing rapidly and will be completed in December 2016.

The former building of the ministry of Justice and the Home Office at the Wijnhaven has been dismantled completely and is now being redeveloped by Proper Stok (Heijmans) into a complex with apartments, shops and four floors (2 - 5) for the Leiden-programmes in The Hague. The structure was ready by mid-2016, staff moved in to their new workplaces in December. From the second semester 2016/2017 on student will have their lectures at the Wijnhaven as well.

A 3D-animation will give you an impression of the final result. Photographer Nicole Romijn visits the building site every month to record the construction work in a photoshoot. Those who wish to follow the current state of affairs may follow the construction work live through the webcam.
