From the 25th to 28th of May, Joost de Moor organized an European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) Joint Sessions workshop (online), alongside Katrin Uba (Uppsala University), on the 'new' climate activism.
On May 20th, Joost de Moor took part in a panel that examined what is (not) unique about the recent waves of climate mobilization, as well as the question of engagement with or opposition to formal global sustainability governance institutions.

In March 2021, Assistant Professor Valentina Carraro took part in an expert roundtable providing recommendations to the United Nations Secretary-General on turning into action the goals of the Declaration on the Commemoration of the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of the United Nations (UN75 Declaration).
From February until April 2021, GTGC hosted an online PhD Winter School together with the University of Padova (Italy) and the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) on “Sustainable Glocal Futures: Knowledge, Democracy and Global Communications".
