Flexible programme

Starting September 2021 the Master's Vitality & Ageing will also offer a flexible programme.

Programme and course load

The flexible programme differs from the full-time programme in terms of duration, the content stays the same. Instead of one year, it will take two years (or longer if desirable) to finish the Master’s. The average number of hours that will be spent is 20 hours per week.

Online and on campus

The official organisation of the flexible programme is not yet finished. However, most likely the education will partially take place online and partially on the LUMC campus.

Working groups are scheduled to be on Thursday late afternoon or evening hours (online if preferable). Furthermore, online recordings of the lectures are available. These can be studied in your own time.

On Fridays education will take place on campus (depending on the corona measures). During these days we offer skills training and mentoring. In addition, we ask students to give presentations about their two-week assignments.

Part of the programme will be followed together with the full-time students. This includes field trips, symposia, meetings with the older individuals of the elderly board etc.
