Babylab Leiden

Babies learn their native language(s) amazingly quickly, and they know a lot about how people behave and about properties of objects from a very young age. The researchers of the Babylab at Leiden University are trying to understand how these skills develop.

In the Babylab, all guidelines of Leiden University concerning hygiene (COVID-19) and safety are strictly adhered to, so our research can take place safely!

The Leiden Babylab investigates how babies learn and form expectations about the world around them, how they come to understand and engage in social interactions, and how they acquire language(s). Our research involves short and fun studies with babies of different ages in our labs or on an online platform.
