Enabling Open Science through research data management support
Open Science is a joint effort – and so is research data management (RDM) support. At Leiden University, the Centre for Digital Scholarship (UBL/CDS) has offered RDM support since 2016. With national funding becoming available, faculty-based data stewards were appointed from 2020 onwards, and their number increased during 2021-2022. In this talk, we will show how the centrally based data librarians of the UBL/CDS and the faculty-based data stewards are connected in the Data Management Community. We will illustrate how their tasks and responsibilities complement each other and how we work together to enable Open Science.
