From Paywalls to Precedent: Open Science for Law
Legal scholars have been notably slower to adopt open science practices than those in many other disciplines. Why is this the case? This session explores how open science is practiced in legal research, why its uptake differs from other fields, and what challenges stand in the way. Drawing on recent developments and personal experiences, we will also highlight the roles of various actors — including at Leiden University — in shaping a more open approach to legal scholarship.
