A bird's eye view of Open Science Developments, Challenges and Future Directions at Naturalis Biodiversity Center
While most people probably know it as a museum, Naturalis Biodiversity Center also hosts one of the largest natural history collections in the world and conducts cutting edge research within its laboratories. For example, one area under active development is focused on establishing research infrastructures for biomonitoring techniques, such as environmental DNA for species identification. These technical developments need to be accompanied by improving current practices around open science. In this session, we'll discuss some activities related to open science happening at Naturalis, the opportunities and challenges they present, while also sharing experiences and exchanging ideas about how to approach them.
