Open Science Lunch

Tuesday 5 October 2021
An open lunch to discuss anything Open Science related. Bring questions, suggestions, topics, and, your own lunch!

The Open Science Lunch is held each first Tuesday of the month at 12:00, join the Teams to receive a calendar invite!

To give an example of what could be discussed during an OSCLunch, in one of the first lunches of this year, we focussed on 'steps you want to take as a researcher in developing OS practices'. There was an opportunity to ask questions to OSCL members who have been thinking about this topic (e.g. for their department) for some time, and we discussed, among other things: having data stewards who are embedded in their faculty or even department, who have a permanent job; that it would be nice to have a Git tutorial for OSCL members; making an Open Science checklist (do we need another name? it would be like a transparency pathfinder: what can you do in which step of a project?).

Any further thoughts on these or other open science related topics are welcome, and just an informal chat is also valued. There is no need to contibute if you merely want to hear others talk about these things.
