Uncovering Biases - A Journey Towards Objective and Open Scholarship
In this workshop, we will learn about various cognitive biases, and explore the influence they can have on our work as scholars. We will examine in what ways biases can shape our scientific journey from hypothesis formation to data interpretation and reporting. We will learn why awareness of these biases and active attempts for mitigation can be crucial to adopt a more objective and transparent scholarship. We discuss Open Science tools that could aid in this journey.
