What's Next? Experience-based design

For the next "What’s Next?" talk series we have invited two former Media Technology students - Ralph Kok and Jelger Kroese to talk about their journeys after Media Technology, and considering their positions, to reflect on the processes and applications of experience-based design.

With the What's Next? series we hope to inspire current Media Technology students, show the variety of paths taken after the studies, and bring together alumni. Editions of the series are generally organized around a particular theme.

These talks are organised by Media Technology students themselves, and followed by social drinks.

Our alumni speakers:

Ralph Kok - head of Creative Technology at Random Studio, Amsterdam. He graduated from the Media Technology MSc program in 2008 on the topic of physical emotion induction and its use in entertainment.

Jelger Kroese - researcher and creative technologist focusing on environmental psychology, soundscape ecology and human-computer interaction. He graduated from the Media Technology MSc program in 2017 on a thesis titled "An Interactive Plant as a Learning Interface - Embodying Environmental Education in the Natural Environment".

Considering their expertise we will invite them to reflect on the processes and applications of experience-based design.

Time and location of the event are communicated to our students and alumni via Brightspace and LinkedIn.

The next two events are planned for May 12 and June 9 and the speakers will be announced shortly. Mark your calendars and see you there!
