Academic Prepartion program has been designed to give special attention to academic English skills and the Dutch learning and teaching methods through participating, sharing and simulation sessions by Dutch and English native lecturers from ETC partner Universities. A total of 30 hours of intensive sessions spread over five days, taught in English, forms the basis for a strong understanding of the Dutch Educations enviroment.

LDE-FISIP UI Joint Minor students brought various issues in the Greater Jakarta Area to their final assignment in the form of policy briefs. The policy briefs are based on a month of research on the topics of waste management, the myth of the Jakarta dream of the younger generation, urban farming, energy transition, the development of the Manggarai station, and AI in education, all in front of the corresponding stakeholders.

Lugduno Batava Praesidium Libertatis adalah slogan Universitas Leiden dalam bahasa Latin yang kurang lebih bermakna "Leiden adalah bastion kebebasan". Wija Wijayanto and Arum Perwitasari both were Indonesian PhD students at Leiden University, funded by the Leiden-DIKTI Graduate Scholarship Programme. With the help of this scholarship, literally thousands of students travel abroad to write their dissertations. During their research period, Arum and Wija got to discover what it is like to live in Leiden. Here they are, sharing their personal experiences.

Leiden University offers 12 Bachelor programmes taught in English. Tuition for undergraduate programmes range from 10,000 - 12,000 euros / year depending on the chosen study programme.

Alicia Schrikker, Director of Research at the Leiden University Institute for History shed light on the importance of preserving archives of natural disasters. Her lecture titled History, Memory, and Archives of Disaster looked at the 1883 Krakatoa eruption through archival records of the colonial government at the time, newspaper articles, illustrations and later photographs about the birth of Anak Krakatoa.
