The theme of Etmaal 2027 is: Breaking boundaries, building synergies - Transdisciplinary research in communication science.

Complex societal challenges require new ways of connecting different academic disciplines and stakeholders outside of the academic field. By fostering collaboration and mutual learning, transdisciplinary research strengthens both innovation and societal relevance.

During Etmaal2027, we will learn about existing examples of transdisciplinary research in communication science and explore how we can improve this approach in our research practice.
