More info to follow.

Experimental linguists use a wide range of techniques such as head-turn preference in language acquisition research, eye-tracking, EEG, and fMRI in order to investigate linguistic diversity. By applying these techniques, experimental linguists are able to understand more about child language development, second language acquisition, speech production and perception, and syntactic and semantic processing.
