Scouting entrepreneurial talent and involving alumni.

As a Teaching Fellow, there are two topics I want to focus on: entrepreneurial talent and future alumni. 

Entrepreneurial talent

There is undoubtedly a lot of entrepreneurial talent among the student population. The aim of my project is to enable students with (much) more than average entrepreneurial talent to develop that talent. To ensure this, we are developing an approach of scouting for students with such talent. Then, they can participate in a programme that focuses on developing their knowledge, and starting and growing a company, as well as finding the possibility to establish an ambitious, innovative start-up.

Future alumni

Leiden University can do much more for its alumni than it does now. The aim of the project is to increase both the focus of students and programmes on future alumni. There are a number of questions that have to be answered, including: In what way can you let students think about the meaning of their future based on what they learn? How can programmes, wherever relevant and possible, be designed in a way that better fits the work field of young alumni?
