SOLVED: Disruption video portal
On Monday, 12 January 2026, there was a disruption in the operation of the video portal. The video portal is displaying an error message and is unavailable. We are currently investigating the cause and working to find a solution. We are in close contact with the supplier and will post updates as soon as more information becomes available.

SOLVED: DDoS attack SURF
Leiden University is currently experiencing network problems due to ongoing attacks on the SURF network used by Leiden University. As a result, certain systems may be poorly accessible or unavailable. The ISSC is working hard to resolve the issues as soon as possible however, in doing so, the ISSC is dependent on the actions of SURF. The ISSC is vigilant and we monitor our environment. Surf will provide updates on a regular basis. The next update is expected around noon.

We are currently experiencing a disruption on our network services It concerns the locations LMUY, Schotel, Ketelhuis, LIC and LACDR, van Steenis, Huygens and the Oort building. Our administrators are currently busy trying to find the cause.

SOLVED: Power outage Bio Science Park
Due to the fire in the 'Ketelhuis' and the resulting power failure, our services including workplace services, Education ICT Support and ISSC helpdesk desks are unavailable at our locations at the Leiden Bio Science Park. Please note that disruptions may be experienced when the power supply is restored. Please report this through normal channels such as the helpdesk portal, email and by phone via 8888. All hardware pick-up appointments will also be cancelled. You will be contacted for rescheduling.
