Want to learn Dutch? Participate in the free online course ‘Dutch & More’!
The Academic Language Centre invites you to participate in the free online course ‘Dutch & More’. This small private online course (SPOC) is especially aimed at international students who are going to study or are studying at Leiden University. In five online lessons, you will learn the basics of the Dutch language and you will get to know student life in the city of Leiden and The Hague better.

Dutch language course
After successful completion of the online course and after receiving a positive result for the final test in lesson 5, you can register for the Dutch formal language course at Leiden University’s Academic Language Centre at a greatly reduced price. This language course normally costs €210. The reduced price for students who successfully completed the online course is only €75.
The Dutch 1B language course starts twice a year in September and February. Details on how to enroll for this course can be found upon completion of the final test in the SPOC. As the number of participants in the language course at the Academic Language Centre is limited, we advise you to enroll as soon as you have finished the final test. In case of high demand, degree students will be given priority over exchange students.
We strongly encourage our international students to join the ‘Dutch & More’ online course and the language course at the Academic Language Centre.
