We are delighted to invite you to a College Tour public session with Professor and Academic Activist Donald Moynihan, taking place in room 3.46 on 26 May. This event is open to all, and we warmly encourage you to join us for what promises to be an insightful and engaging afternoon.

The session will begin at 14.00 hrs. with a short introduction. At 14.10 hrs., Professor Moynihan will give a talk on 'Trump’s Effect on Academia and Administration'. This will be followed by a panel discussion from 14.50 to 15.30 hrs. moderated by Maria Tiggelaar and Amandine Lerusse.

During the panel discussion, we will pose questions to the panel members and encourage audience participation. You are welcome to submit your questions in advance by emailing us at: a.v.lerusse@fgga.leidenuniv.nl.

About the speaker

Donald Moynihan is the Ford School’s J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Professor of Public Policy. Previously he served as Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy Chair of Public Policy and the director of the La Follette School at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Moynihan’s research seeks to improve how government works by studying the administrative burdens people encounter in their interactions with the government. He co-directs the Better Government Lab, which looks for technology and other types of interventions to help government improve access to the social safety net. Donald Moynihan is also actively involved in the American public debate on the Trump administration, notably through his Substack blog (more information available here).
