Archaeology Green Team
The Green Teams were launched by the Leiden University Green Office (LUGO) in 2023 to bring sustainability directly into faculty buildings. Each team represents LUGO at their faculty, supports the implementation of sustainability policies, and develops its own projects and events. As the second Green Team at Leiden University, we are excited to help make the Faculty of Archaeology, and the university as a whole, more sustainable every day.
About Us
Welcome! We are happy to introduce the Archaeology Green Team!
As archaeologists, part of our study aims at understanding climate change and its impact on humanity. Sustainable measures, both ecological and social can have a lasting impact and help communities thrive.
As a team, we have been organising cooking events, clothing swaps, movie afternoons and a few other projects! Our goal is to engage with other archaeology students and make a sustainable lifestyle attractive and accessible throughout our faculty. Sustainability is also a social responsibility and thus we not only set out to organise events and initiate engagement but to help other team members pursuit their development as team leaders, organisers, communicators and ultimately better archaeologists.
