Rosalind Franklin Square

The Rosalind Franklin Square, also known as the campus square, is a green gathering place for students, staff, and city residents. It is a place where the university, businesses, and the city of Leiden come together.

Location

The Campus Square is located within a major residential development in the so-called entrance area along Plesmanlaan, close to the new University Sports Centre (USC), the Gorlaeus bicycle parking facility, the Lecture Hall Building, and the Gorlaeus Building.

Dynamic function

The Rosalind Franklin Square is intended as a place for a wide range of activities for students, staff, and local residents. Examples include a knowledge festival, performances, and sporting activities. Programming a festival, an open-air cinema, or a yoga class are all among the possibilities.
