Gorlaeus Building

Leiden University is realising a new and sustainable building with state of the art research and educational facilities for the Faculty of Science: the Gorlaeus Building. The new sustainable building will stimulate academic cooperation and knowledge sharing.

In 2028, the new Gorlaeus Building will be completed; an iconic building of almost 100,000m2 by then. The first part of the building was put into use in 2016. In September 2024, the opening of the second part will take place, giving the building a new entrance at Campus Square. For the final part, research is currently underway to explore possibilities for creating a sustainable, future-proof, and modern working environment for students and staff.

On this website, you can find more information about the project, background, and schedule.
