Gorlaeus Building
Leiden University is realising a new and sustainable building with state of the art research and educational facilities for the Faculty of Science: the Gorlaeus Building. The new sustainable building will stimulate academic cooperation and knowledge sharing.
The new Gorlaeus Building will be completed in 2028 and will be an iconic building with almost 100,000 m2 of floorspace. The first part of the building was brought into use in 2016. In the coming years, in two phases, the existing Gorlaeus Building will be further extended to become a sustainable, future-proof and modern working environment for both students and staff.
On this website you’ll find more information about the project, its background, the schedule etc.
