Dr. C. van den Bergh

Carmen Van den Bergh is assistant professor in Italian Literature at the Leiden University Centre for Arts in Society (LUCAS) where she is director of the Italian Language and Culture Department and track leader for Italian in the MA Literary Studies. Her research specializations are Italian ‘modernism’, prose writings during the Italian interwar, (neo)realism in film and literature and more. View her full profile here.

Stijn Bussels is head of the Department of Art History and Professor Art history, especially before 1800 at the Leiden University Centre for the Arts in Society. His fields of interest are early modern art and architectural history. View his full profile here.

Dr. E.J.M. Grootveld

Emma Grootveld is a University Lecturer at the Leiden University Centre for the Arts in Society. Her work focusses primarily on interdiscursive and imperialist dynamics in the epic tradition of the Renaissance. Other projects concern a translation of Luca Pacioli’s mathematical treatise "De divina proportione"; Dante and Primo Levi; literary representations of the Mediterranean and hydrocriticism. Dr. I. O'Daly

Irene O'Daly is an assistant professor at the Centre for the Arts in Society specialising in manuscript studies, the history of ideas, and classical reception. She is a specialist in the intellectual history of the Middle Ages with a particular interests in medieval classical reception, manuscript studies and the history of political thought.
