On the 8th of August in “La Escuela de Diseno Altos de Chavon” in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, a workshop was held for teachers of Arts Education from different educational regions. In this workshop they had the opportunity to explore teaching strategies and learning methods to merge archaeology with the teaching of the Arts. The activities included discussions, reflections on the interdisciplinary and educational role of archaeological heritage and the design of a classroom project. This workshop was possible thanks to a collaboration with the Project “Mi Patrimonio es Arte y Poesia” of the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic and the “Museo Arqueologico Regional Altos de Chavon”. Organization and logistics were coordinated by Eldris Con Aguilar, PhD researcher, Arlene Alvarez affiliated PhD researcher, from the ERC-Synergy NEXUS 1492 Project, and Ruahidy Lombert from the Ministry of Education.
