Anneke Monsma started as an external PhD candidate at the Leiden Institute of Tax Law and Economics, Department of Tax Law, in August 2024. Her supervisors are Professor Allard Lubbers and Dr Esther Huiskers-Stoop. She conducts research into alternative ways of settlement procedures by the municipal authority in property tax objections. The key question is which elements in those alternatives can contribute to procedural and administrative justice, regulatory compliance and responsivity.
